The book launch of ‘The Universe is Pranking Us’ was organized at the India International Centre (IIC), New Delhi on 2 July 2026 at 2:00 PM in Conference Room II. The discussion, featuring eminent speakers such as Prof. Ajoy Ghatak (President of the National Academy of Science India, 2021-22, and Professor – Retd., IIT Delhi), Prof. Avinash Pandey (Director, IUAC), Prof. Anand Ranganthan (Professor, JNU), Prof. S. V. Eswaran (Emeritus Professor – Honorary, Academy of Scientific and Innovative Research), Dr. Arun Pratap Sikarwar (Associate Professor, NCERT), Dr. Sarvesh Kumar (Associate Professor, University of Delhi) and Dr. Kamalika Banerjee (Team Lead, Science Communication, Foundation for Advancing Science and Technology India). The panel explored the scientific and philosophical ideas at the heart of the book, including non-absolutism, uncertainty, and indeterminacy, and their implications for our understanding of the Universe. The book itself has a foreword by Prof. Brian Josephson (Nobel Laureate, 1973) and has been endorsed by Prof. Gregory Chaitin (Discoverer of the Omega Number) and Padma Shri Prof. Subhash Kak.
